Publications + Mobilization

To complement the sound and mixed reality research creations I have been engaged in, my digital scholarship extends to the publication and co-publication of work in peer-reviewed journals. I have also written two peer-reviewed books with Springer/Nature’s Apress, and I present the results of my research annually at local, national and international conferences

Scholarly contributions include:

  • the design and composition of sound for live and mediated productions;
  • the creation, research, curation, and supervision of software development projects in collaboration with others to create innovative experiences, support teaching and learning, and solve human problems.
  • individual and collaborative research presentations at various national and international conferences;
  • keynote, panelist, workshop facilitator and symposium participant
  • moderation of expert panels at international conferences;
  • publication and co-authorship in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters.
  • book writing on the subjects of mentoring and artificial intelligence

Keywords: Emerging technologies, extended reality (Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed Reality), sound design, composition, spatial audio, artificial intelligence, collaborative co-creation.

My recent book Creative Prototyping with Generative AI looks at the integration of the technology as a tool that may benefit many different kinds of creatives.
